Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway in a blog entry earned the artist additional acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an old piano that was hidden away in the attic of her home, and discovering the music it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to study music as an interest or profession. Therefore, she created writing her own songs. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an inclination to Bjork's style. Her mother had told her that her songs can aid in her gaining fame, but also make other people realize their significance to the world and appreciate what can be done with them, she decided to perform in public. She began playing the piano at age six and composed music by the age of nine. Family members didn't even know about her musical talents until she turned 14. It was never a dream to be Aurora. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. Music is for her the best way to feel everything.
